Our story

Thoughtful beginnings, one stitch at a time

AVELIS is built around a simple idea: a craft becomes more inviting when there is a clear, manageable place to begin.

One

Start small

A hoop, a piece of fabric and a little thread can open up many possibilities. They can also feel unfamiliar when you have never embroidered before. Our collection is being developed to make those first decisions easier to follow, with space to practise before moving into more decorative work.

Two

Let the materials lead

Linen textures, gentle colours and small botanical forms shape the AVELIS world. We are drawn to details that feel considered rather than crowded: a simple flower, an initial in a corner, a bookmark made for a particular person. The visual language is quiet because the making deserves your attention.

Three

Follow your curiosity

The three planned guides have different roles. Together, they offer a route through the craft without insisting that every maker must work at the same pace.

Your First Embroidery Hoop Introduces the essentials.
Stitched Botanicals Explores natural shapes and composition.
Little Gifts in Thread Brings those ideas into small personal projects.
Four

An honest look at the collection

The images on this site are presentation mockups and editorial previews: book-shaped artwork used to show how the guides are intended to look. The complete PDF manuscripts are still in development, the page counts are editorial targets rather than verified pagination, and nothing here is offered for sale yet.

We do not attach qualifications, testimonials or customer numbers to this project, and the patterns in the finished books must be original and tested before anything is published.

How a lesson thinks

Build the stem before the flower.

This is the whole approach in one exercise. A botanical piece becomes easier when you begin with the structure underneath, then add to it in the order the plant itself would grow.

Leaves at varied heightsThree is usually enough. Even spacing is what makes a motif look stiff.

A design drawing, not a stitch diagram. The finished guide needs tested step-by-step instructions and original patterns, and that work belongs in the manuscript rather than in a preview.

The habit we keep returning to

Leave room around it.

The same principle runs through the third guide. A gift feels more considered when the embroidery has space to sit in, and a restrained detail often feels more personal than a crowded one.

Choose one corner, one small monogram or one simple flower. The dashed box on the right is the space we plan first — before deciding what goes inside it.

About these pictures

Presentation images, honestly labelled.

The studio photographs show the setting AVELIS is designed around: linen, daylight, a wooden hoop and a quiet corner. They are presentation imagery for the brand, not evidence of a finished book or of anyone’s results.

The book-shaped pictures are mockups of digital products. Nothing physical is sold here, and no hoop, needle, thread or fabric is included with a guide.

And then

There is no need to make your first piece perfect.

Begin with something small, notice what your hands are learning and leave room for the next stitch.

Digital products

English PDF ebooks. No physical book, embroidery hoop, needles, thread, fabric or accessories are included. For personal use only. Physical book images are mockups used to present digital products.

Preview status

Planned length and contents. The complete manuscripts are not yet available and purchasing is not enabled. Needlework involves sharp tools, so children need appropriate supervision. This is a leisure education product, not professional certification or therapy.
